Spanish Pages Walk to Penn Plaza

Spanish Yellow Pages relocated to their new corporate offices to 14 Penn Station. Took 3,500 sf on the 15th floor. Asking rent was $36 a foot. They relocated from Long Island City where they had more but inefficient space. William Hocking worked on behalf of Charles Borrock’s ownership group. Vlad Porter of VB Porter Company represented the Spanish Yellow Pages which is also known as Sky Media Corp. The move allows the company to more efficiently utilize its space, provides room for future expansion, increases the efficiency of its staff and provides sales executives with a wide variety of transportation options. The newest edition of the Spanish Yellow Pages USA, “Las Super Paginas Amarillas” is the largest Hispanic telephone directory in the country. According to Hispanic Business Magazine, Hispanics are the fastest growing ethnic group in the region, representing 25% of the New York population. The book is considered to be the best source of information for the Hispanic Community in the Tri-state area. In addition to the printed directories, SYP also has on-line directories: www.virtualbookusa.com and www.superpaginas.com. DRC Research shows that the Internet usage among Hispanics grew 675% in the past two years.

"The move allows us to more efficiently utilize our space, by giving us room for future expansion, increases the efficiency of our staff when they're in the office, and provides our sales executives with a wide variety of transportation options, including trains, buses and automobile. Mr. Cruz also noted that aside from the location being centralized with easy access to all major forms of transportaion, it is customer friendly. "We're looking forward to providing even better service to our internal customers from the new facility," noted Robert Meyer, a top SYP executive.
